Woodworking Student Competitions

Here you will find competitions in which students may participate. Entrants contend for prizes, honor and recognition in areas such as design or craftsmanship of a wood product.

 

Best Installation Contest
Individuals may submit installations using 3form materials that have been completed in the last 12 months. Installations will compete in two categories: residential and commercial. The public votes online for first, second and third place.

California State Fair Industrial & Technology Education Competitions
The Industrial & Technology Education Competitions are designed to recognize outstanding California students and their instructors, enrolled in or instructing an accredited program in grades 7 through community college. Shows include Architectural Drafting, Mechanical Drafting, Construction-Woods, Group Projects and the Instructor Competition and Sweepstakes. Look for The Outstanding Exhibitor Competition that recognizes the finest I&TE students.

David Kline Memorial Scholarship Contest
This scholarship/contest supports furniture education in North America. Students must be enrolled in an accredited design program and submit a project meeting contest guidelines. Cash awards.

Design Emphasis
A furniture design competition open to post secondary students throughout the U.S. Contest is held in conjunction with the International Woodworking Fair (IWF) in even-numbered years.
