Program Description:

Burlington College students study woodworking and fine furniture-making at an off-campus instructional site, the Vermont Woodworking School in Fairfax, Vermont. Studying under accomplished Vermont furniture-makers, students will participate in a structured furniture-making curriculum in a supportive academic environment to encourage their best progress. Students will be expected to challenge themselves and will participate in a written narrative evaluation process at the end of each semester with their faculty members.

Students will participate in hands-on practice throughout the course of the curriculum to learn the skills and techniques. In addition, the students will complete progressively more difficult faculty-mentored individual design projects. Burlington College encourages the individual and strives to provide the students with support that matches the goals of the individual.
