American Architectural Manufacturers Association (AAMA)

Prime source of performance standards, product certification and educational programs for the window, door and skylight industry.


American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA)

The AF&PA is a national trade association representing the forest, pulp, paper and wood products industries. Their mission includes legislative and regulatory work; capturing and disseminating statistical information; and bringing the various industry segments together in support of initiatives and collaborative projects for the benefit of all.


American Home Furnishings Alliance (AHFA)

AHFA is the world's largest and most influential trade organization serving the home furnishings industry. It disseminates up-to-date management, manufacturing and technical information to member companies and acts as a regulatory watchdog. AHFA created a voluntary environmental management system to assist members with developing proactive environmental programs.


American Institute of Timber Construction

The American Institute of Timber Construction (AITC) is the national technical trade association of the structural glued laminated (glulam) timber industry. AITC represents a majority of the glued laminated timber manufacturers in the U.S. in addition to a number of installers, suppliers, sales representatives, engineers, architects, designers, and researchers.


American Society of Furniture Designers

International non-profit dedicated to supporting the profession of furniture design in the arenas of residential and contract furnishings and accessories. Membership is open to design teachers and students.


American Wood Council

This is the wood products division of AF&PA, charged with developing design tools and guidelines for wood construction and with influencing public policies affecting the use of wood products.


APA (The Engineered Wood Association)

APA's focus is on helping the industry create structural wood products through research, field work and collaboration with member manufacturers. APA promotes new solutions and improved processes that benefit the entire industry.


Appalachian Hardwood Manufacturers

A trade association headquartered in High Point, N.C., whose goal is the promotion of logs, lumber and products from the Appalachian Mountain region.


Architectural Woodwork Institute (AWI)

A nonprofit trade association that represents nearly 4000 members consisting of architectural woodworkers, suppliers, design professionals and students from around the world. AWI offers the "Architectural Woodwork Standards," the definitive resource manual for the fabrication, finishing and installation of architectural woodwork. They also offer the AWI Quality Certification Program, a quality assurance tool endorsed by the American Subcontractors Association (ASA).


Architectural Woodwork Manufacturers Association of Canada (AWMAC)

Promotes the interest of those in the business of manufacturing, supplying or installing architectural wood products in Canada. AWMAC, with AWI and WI, is a co-publisher of the "Architectural Woodwork Standards" Manual, the defintiive resource manual for the fabrication, finishing and installation of architectural woodwork.


Asociacion Mexicana de Proveedores de la Industria Maderera y Mueblera A.C.

Mexican association comprised of suppliers to the woodworking and furniture industries and dedicated to promoting thier products and innovations. Sponsors of ExpoAMPIMM in Mexico City.


Association of Woodworking & Furnishings Suppliers (AWFS)

A not-for-profit trade association supporting the woodworking and furnishings suppliers industries. AWFS owns and produces the biennial trade show, AWFS®Fair, held in Las Vegas, which includes an extensive education program and student competition. AWFS supports Career Technical Education and works with SkillsUSA California.


BC Wood Specialty Group

A not-for-profit trade association that supports BC's secondary wood products manufacturing industry through marketing programs, a members' lead generation program, online resource library, trade events and more.


Cabinet Makers Association (CMA)

Provides a national voice and presence for the small cabinet shop.


California Furniture Manufacturers Association (CFMA)

CFMA's mission is to educate, promote and protect the interests of furniture manufacturers in California.


Canadian Hardwood Plywood Veneer Association

A national association representing the hardwood plywood and veneer industry in technical, regulatory, quality assurance and product acceptance.


Canadian Home Builders Association

Acts as a voice for the residential construction industry in Canada. Supports the professionalism of members and promotes the interest of consumers.


Canadian Kitchen Cabinet Association

Promotes interests and conserves rights of manufacturers of kitchen and bath cabinetry and millwork as well as their dealers.


Canadian Wood Council (CWC)

The national association representing Canadian manufacturers of wood products used in construction. Their focus includes communicating information on building codes, standards, regulatory issues and more. They sponsor education and training programs.


Composite Panel Association (CPA)

No. American trade assoc. for producers of particleboard, miff and other compatible products; dedicated to increasing its use and educating users on the benefits.


Council of Forest Industries (COFI)

The Council of Forest Industries is the voice of the BC interior forest industry. COFI companies operate about 100 production facilities in over 60 forest dependent communities in the interior of British Columbia. The Council of Forests Industries offers its Interior member companies enhanced levels of service in the areas of forest policy, quality control, international market and trade development, public affairs and community relations.

The FPS supports information exchange on use of wood and wood-fibre resources, linking an international network of scholars and industry professionals.


Forest Resources Association, Inc.

Represents various segments of the wood fiber supply chain through promoting the efficient and sustainable use of forest resources to meet their needs as well as championing members' competitive success.

International Wood Products Association

IWPA is the only U.S. association committed to promotion of trade in the imported hardwood and softwood products industry through leadership in business, environmental and government affairs.


Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association (KCMA)

Trade association serving and representing kitchen and bath and other residential cabinet manufacturers and suppliers. Serves its members by promoting the industry; developing standards; sponsoring research; representing member interests in governmental issues and providing management tools and education programs.


Material Handling Industry of America (MHIA)

A not for profit association that addresses issues of movement, storage, control and protection of industrial material, its handling and logistics, towards the goal of impacting operational efficiency.


National Association of Home Builders (NAHB)

Acts as a representative of building industry by concentrating on legislative policies; resourcing information; improving business performance; and fostering effective management and public appreciation for housing issues. The NAHBGreen program helps builders, remodelers, developers and home owners/buyers to understand high performance construction and development, which incorporates environmental considerations and resource efficiency.

North American Association of Floor Covering Distributors (NAFCD)

Unites the leading wholesale distributors of all types of flooring and flooring accessories.


North American Building Material Distribution Association (NBMDA)

Represents the leading wholesale distributors of specialty building materials for interiors including wood panels, surfacing materials, cabinet hardware, finishes and related woodworking production supplies.


North American Laminate Flooring Association (NALFA)

NALFA was formed by U.S. and Canadian manufacturers and importers to create voluntary product performance standards for laminate flooring in North America.


Quebec Wood Export Bureau

The Québec Wood Export Bureau (Q-WEB) is a non-profit organization showcasing wood products from Québec in export markets. Representing more than 200 manufacturers in 7 sectors, Q-WEB provides you with direct access to Québec's vast array of wood products in the following categories: Softwood Lumber, Value-added softwoods, Hardwood lumber, Value-added Hardwoods, Hardwood flooring, Pre-fabricated wood-frame housing, and Finished Wood Products.


Society for American Period Furniture Makers (SAPFM)

A forum for anyone with a passion for reproducing furniture masterpieces from America's past. The Business and Institutional Furniture Manufacturers Association (BIFMA)

A non-profit trade association of office and business furniture manufacturers and suppliers. It acts as an information resource and industry advocate. Areas of focus include standards development, government relations, industry promotion and more.


The Furniture Society

An educational organization to advance the art of furniture making. Offers annual conference, exhibits, publications, workshops, awards and grants. They include a student representative on their board and offer an internship/apprenticeship bulletin board on their web.


Timber Framers Guild

The Timber Framers Guild is dedicated to promoting, supporting, honoring, and advancing the craft of timber framing.


Vermont Wood Manufacturers Association (VWMA)

An association with the mission to support the wood products manufacturing industry in Vermont and to promote its long-term viability by: expanding the presence of members in the marketplace; ensuring a dependable supply of raw materials; increasing workforce skill and creativity; acting as responsible employers and community members.


Western Red Cedar Lumber Association
