The awards listed here are given to individuals or companies to recognize a skill, trait or accomplishment. Typically the candidate must only submit an application or be nominated for consideration.

AF&PA Sustainability Awards

The AF&PA awards recognize companies of merit in the following areas: Forest Management and Wildlife Stewardship; Environmental & Energy Achievement; Safety; and Recycling.

ARE Retail Design Awards

These awards recognize individual store fixture design and manufacturing. Entries may be submitted by retailers, designers, architects and suppliers for new or remodeled dept. and specialty stores, shops, retailers, restaurants, store fixtures and more.

AWFS Fair Visionary New Product Awards

Awarded by AWFS® at their biennial trade show to exhibiting companies in areas of environmental achievement, innovative technology, ergonomics, productivity and safety.

Canadian Home Furnishings Awards

Recognizes innovative achievements in marketing, production, design and value of home furnishings manufactured in Canada.

CITEA Annual Awards

Statewide awards given out at the annual conference in March, include program and educator of the year, legislator of the year, person of the year, and others.

Furniture Society Award of Distinction

The Furniture Society's highest honor, the award is presented annually at the FS conference to one or more individuals recognized as having had a profound impact on the field of studio furniture.

ICFF Editors’ Awards

Awarded to designers and manufacturers in the field of contemporary furnishings at ICFF by a panel of international editors.

International Design Awards (IDA)

International Designer of they Year Award: Gain worldwide exposure: Enter one of the most respected Design Awards. Architects and interior designers, product designers, graphic designers and fashion designers are invited to submit their work for the IDA design competition.

IWF Atlanta Challengers Award

Presented every two years at the International Woodworking Fair (IWF), the Challenger Awards recognize seven outstanding exhibitor companies in the areas of most advanced technology, advancements/contributions to environmental improvement, innovative technology in products, services or manufacturing techniques.

Minwax Do Good with Wood Award

Each year, Minwax® honors select individuals and organizations that have demonstrated a dedication to the betterment of their community through exemplary achievements in woodworking. From April through December 31, 2008, individuals and organizations across America may nominate themselves or someone in their community for the Minwax® Community Craftsman Award, designed to reward outstanding community service through woodworking.

Pinnacle Design Achievement Awards

This Design Achievement award celebrates production design aimed for retail distribution. Open worldwide to designers and manufacturers.

Shingo Prize for Excellence in Manufacturing

Established in 1998 to promote an awareness of lean manufacturing concepts and to recognize organizations that achieve world-class manufacturing status. Open to business manufacturers in North America, public sector manufacturing in the U.S. and to researchers internationally.

The Sharp Certificate

The "Sharp" Certificate is the U.S. Dept. of Labor's "Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program." It recognizes small employers who operate an exemplary safety and health management system.

The WMMA Ralph B. Baldwin Award

The award seeks to honor an individual who has made outstanding contributions to the industry. It is named for a past president of WMMA who exemplified taking commitment to an association to its peak potential. Awarded at the annual Woodworking Industry Conference (WIC).

Top Shelf Design Awards

A multiple category competition for professional closet and/or garage designers. Projects will be judged for overall appearance, functionality and design creativity, and for the entrant's ingenuity in solving any challenges involved. Deadline in December.

WMIA Wooden Globe Awards

These awards acknowledge excellence within the woodworking industry as well as outstanding achievements of woodworking companies and educational institutions. The awards are given in the following cateogries: innovator, educator and commitment to excellence through technology.

Wood 100 Report

An annual compilation by Wood & Wood Products of 100 of the best and brightest companies that have achieved exceptional growth.

Woodwork Institute Awards

Every year the Woodwork Institute presents three different awards to outstanding members of the Woodmill Industry. They are the Ralph B. McClure Craftmanship Award, the Bernard B. Barber, Jr. Award for Excellence, and the Wilbur L . Johnston Award. The Woodwork Institute's Ralph B. McClure Craftsmanship Award Program honors Woodwork Institute members for their exceptional craftsmanship and/or installation of any architectural millwork project or portion thereof.

WoodWorks Wood Design Awards

WoodWorks is seeking innovative mass timber, tall wood, and light-frame projects for the Wood Design Awards, which celebrate excellence in wood building design across the U.S. Winning projects are promoted extensively through social media, WoodWorks’ online gallery, an award video, hardcover North American Wood Design Book, and more. Special consideration will be given to recently completed buildings, projects that utilize wood as a dominant structural element, and designs that exemplify new opportunities for wood construction.
