Program Description:

The Department of Forest Products has three tracks: Forest Products Business Management, which combines technical and business studies; Wood Construction and Design for residential and light commercial work, combining architectural design and building technology; and Forest Operations, focused on the skills of accessing, harvesting and transporting trees from woods to mill.

Industry Training Description:

This location is part of the Inland Northwest Forest Products Research Consortium and one of thirteen national Wood Utilization Research Centers, authorized and funded by Congress to stimulate innovation and the generation of new knowledge and technologies that are necessary to balance the sustainable use of U.S. forest resources with the need to maintain a vigorous, globally competitive domestic forest products industry.
