Fresh Wood competition – a chance to stand out!

Who: Open to students in North American high school or post secondary woodworking or related programs and who are considering a career in the woodworking or related industry.

When: Entry Deadline May 15, 2013

Where: Finalists invited to AWFS Fair in Las Vegas, Nevada (July 24-27, 2013)

Have you heard about the Fresh Wood student woodworking competition?

There are six entry categories: chairs, tables, production/RTA work, case goods, reproduction and “open” (anything you like!). You can read all about the criteria, rules and parameters here.

All entries are judged by a panel of industry experts. The top scoring entries are invited to the AWFS Fair in Las Vegas, NV _MG_7516July 24-27 where the projects will be on display and the final judging will take place. There are cash prizes for each category, as well as tool prizes for the grand prize “Best of Show” winner. There is also a “People’s Choice” award, which is voted on by the attendees and exhibitors at the AWFS Fair.
